Project with Little Tybee

In 2011, I spent the good part of the summer working on figures, marionettes and props for the latest music video, "Boxcar Fair," from the uber-talented Little Tybee. The project was a collaboration between Brock Scott, lead man of the band, and myself. The video has been released and can be seen here - http://vimeo.com/32183353 Feel free to share it with others. Soon the figures will be morphed into piece of my artwork.

Show in Huffington Post

Here's a Huffington Post piece about my show at Obsolete, November 2010, here.

Applied Kinetic Arts

I have been added to the roster of Applied Kinetic Arts, an amazing group of (mostly) kinetic artists. The site is a blog feed from all current members. As it was explained to me by Nemo Gould, "The idea is to gather studio and process imagery from sculptors who work in a "gadgety" way." Such a great variety of work to be seen here.

My Work Featured in a New Book

Some of my recent work has been included in the new book, Device, Volume 2 - Reconstructed. The book is a collection of 16 international artists who produce work using found objects. These artists - brought together by the Device Gallery in San Diego - reconfigure, repurpose and reconstruct these objects into many incredible works of art. I am honored to be included in this wonderful group. It's currently available at http://www.devicegallery.com for $24 (plus $6.00 for shipping within the U.S.) It's also available at  Amazon.com.

My Work at Obsolete

Obsolete, an incredible store/gallery in Venice, CA, is currently carrying my work. I've been a fan of this place for years and love their wonderful aesthetic. I’m honored to be on their roster of amazing fine artists. Their Collections include mannequins from the 17th through 19th centuries, santos figures, scientific instruments, and unique antique furniture. This eclectic shop is considered one the top 3 destinations in the Los Angeles area for unique items - and is a perfect setting for my work. Stop by or visit their website
